Cinemavixion Review
In this 1939 Fleischer Studios short, Olive Oyl takes a turn as screenwriter, crafting a tale inspired by 'Aladdin.' Within her narrative, Popeye assumes the role of the cunning thief, while Olive herself embodies the Princess. This animated short, directed by Dave Fleischer, offers a charming glimpse into the creative processes of the studio's animators, blending classic fairy tales with the iconic characters of Popeye. The voice talents of Margie Hines as Olive Oyl and Jack Mercer as Popeye lend their familiar energy to this imaginative retelling.
