POINTE FOR THE SWEET BUN

Cinemavixion Review

This poignant narrative explores the complexities of post-career identity and the allure of escapism. "POINTE FOR THE SWEET BUN" delves into Natasha's struggle with her changing body and a deepening reliance on comforting sweets, a stark contrast to her former disciplined life. The film masterfully portrays the strain on her marriage, highlighting the unspoken frustrations and financial imbalances that have eroded intimacy. Natasha's world, once defined by the rigorous demands of ballet, finds a surprising, albeit complicated, new focus in the brand "Sergeich" and the unexpected encounter with her former coach. The introduction of Sergeich himself, a figure from her past now intertwined with a new family, ignites a flicker of hope and a longing for a different future. The film invites viewers to ponder Natasha's journey toward self-discovery and the possibility of finding happiness amidst life's unforeseen turns.
