PLANNING FOR JOY

Cinemavixion Review

Ruby J. Munro's "Planning for Joy" offers a charming exploration of self-discovery wrapped in a romantic comedy. The film centers on Hazel, an entrepreneur whose passion for organizational joy is tested when faced with the daunting prospect of public promotion. Her journey takes an unexpected turn with the arrival of Theo, a charismatic trivia host whose unconventional coaching methods create both friction and undeniable chemistry. Chelsey Reist and Marc Trottier deliver engaging performances, navigating the push-and-pull of their characters' initial clashes and burgeoning connection. While the premise might seem familiar, the film’s genuine warmth and focus on overcoming personal anxieties lend it a refreshing appeal. "Planning for Joy" is a delightful watch for those seeking a feel-good story about embracing opportunities and finding unexpected romance along the way.
