PERFECT SISTERS

Cinemavixion Review

Stanley M. Brooks' 'Perfect Sisters' plunges into the dark underbelly of familial trauma and moral ambiguity. Based on a chilling true story, the film navigates the complex relationship between two sisters whose desperate attempt to protect themselves from an abusive mother culminates in a shocking act. Abigail Breslin and Georgie Henley deliver compelling performances, portraying the sisters' descent from troubled youth to desperate measures with raw intensity. While the film's critical reception, particularly its Rotten Tomatoes score, suggests a divisive narrative, it undeniably probes the extreme lengths to which individuals might go when pushed to their limits. The thriller elements are palpable, creating a tense atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll, making it a thought-provoking, albeit grim, cinematic experience.
