PEACE LOVE AND MISUNDERSTANDING

Cinemavixion Review

Bruce Beresford's 2012 film, "Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding," offers a poignant exploration of family dynamics and self-discovery. Starring the legendary Jane Fonda alongside Catherine Keener and Elizabeth Olsen, the film delves into the complexities of reconnecting with estranged family members and confronting long-held beliefs. Fonda delivers a nuanced performance as a woman forced to re-evaluate her life choices when her liberal, city-dwelling daughter, played with compelling vulnerability by Keener, brings her new boyfriend home to their rural farm. Olsen rounds out the cast, adding depth to the generational conflicts and personal awakenings that unfold. The movie navigates themes of love, acceptance, and the often-difficult journey toward understanding, making it a thoughtful watch for those interested in character-driven dramas.
