PEACE IS FOUND IN YOUR ARMS - STRAWBERRY SMELL

Cinemavixion Review

This film, 'Peace Is Found in Your Arms - Strawberry Smell,' offers a melodramatic glimpse into the lives of Asli and Emel, a mother and daughter grappling with financial hardship. Asli's aspirations for higher education are thwarted by their economic struggles, forcing her to work at a bakery to fund her dreams. Her mother, Emel, despite her own health issues, takes a job as a cook in a wealthy household, only for Asli to face a setback on the same day, losing her job due to a cake-delivery mishap involving Burak, a scion of a privileged family. The narrative hints at a burgeoning, complex relationship between the clumsy, accident-prone Asli and the pleasure-seeking Burak, a dynamic further complicated by the presence of Burak's responsible cousin, Volkan. A potential move to Bodrum for work suggests their paths will continue to cross, setting the stage for a long-term entanglement. The film appears to explore themes of love, class disparity, and the unexpected turns of fate, promising a journey of personal growth and romantic discovery against a backdrop of everyday struggles and luxurious settings.
