PATIENT 27

Cinemavixion Review

"PATIENT 27" plunges viewers into a disquieting world where the boundaries between reality and delusion blur. The narrative follows Cesar, a lab worker whose temporary assignment takes a sinister turn as he witnesses unsettling occurrences surrounding patient number 27. His growing unease, manifesting as insomnia and hallucinations, is initially dismissed by colleagues Isela and Marcos as mere fatigue. However, the film masterfully builds suspense, suggesting a far more tangible and perilous truth lurking beneath the surface of routine laboratory work. Alejandro G. Alegre directs with a keen eye for psychological tension, drawing strong performances from Marcos Duarte, Isaac Perez Calzada, and Itzel Enciso, who embody the mounting dread and uncertainty. This is a compelling exploration of paranoia and the potential horrors hidden within scientific endeavors, promising a chilling experience for fans of psychological thrillers.
