PAROLED - TO DIE

Cinemavixion Review

Sam Newfield's 1938 Western, "Paroled - To Die," presents a compelling narrative of deceit and desperation. Starring Bob Steele as Doug Redfern, the film delves into a scheme orchestrated by Meline, who manipulates events to frame Redfern for a bank robbery. The plot unfolds with Redfern's conviction and subsequent parole, only for Meline to hatch a more sinister plan. Steele delivers a solid performance, navigating the complexities of a man wrongly accused. While the film received a modest IMDb rating of 5.3, its tight pacing and classic Western tropes make it an interesting watch for fans of the genre, offering a glimpse into the era's B-movie landscape.
