PAINKILLER | FREEDOM IN NEVER FREE

Cinemavixion Review

Berenika Bailey's 2013 film, 'Painkiller | Freedom In Never Free,' plunges into a grim prison setting where a failed lethal injection transforms an inmate into an immortal being. This unexpected turn of events unleashes chaos as other hardened criminals seize the experimental drug, setting their sights on not just controlling the prison but conquering the world. Starring Mike Pfaff, Elodie Hara, and Ron Pucillo, the film explores the dark consequences of unchecked ambition and the desperate pursuit of power, even at the cost of humanity itself. While the premise offers a potent blend of sci-fi and thriller elements, it delves into the moral ambiguities of immortality and the corrupting influence of ultimate freedom.
