OUTRIGHTEOUS

Cinemavixion Review

Jill Maxcy's "Outrighteous" offers a vibrant exploration of sisterhood tested by romantic rivalry. The film pits the grounded Simone against the effervescent Angela, two women whose bond is as strong as their opposing personalities. Their lifelong friendship faces its ultimate challenge when they find themselves vying for the affection of the same man. This premise sets the stage for a delightful comedic duel, as their attempts to win him over escalate into a series of increasingly "outrighteous" maneuvers. Tabitha Brown anchors the film with a compelling performance, navigating the complexities of loyalty and desire. "Outrighteous" humorously probes the lengths to which people will go for love, ultimately celebrating the enduring strength of female friendship, even amidst playful sabotage. It's a charming watch that highlights the universal, and often comical, struggles of the heart.
