OUTLAW'S BUCKLE

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's "Outlaw's Buckle" plunges viewers into the claustrophobic confines of a Texas prison during a ferocious storm. This gritty crime drama, released in 2021, pits inmates against a relentless serial killer, creating a tense and unsettling atmosphere. Starring Thom Hallum, Rachel G. Whittle, and Andy Arrasmith, the film attempts to navigate the dark underbelly of incarceration and the primal fear that grips its inhabitants when terror strikes from within. While the premise offers a compelling setup for a suspenseful thriller, the execution, as indicated by its critical reception, may leave audiences wanting more. Nevertheless, for those drawn to intense, contained thrillers set against bleak backdrops, "Outlaw's Buckle" presents a chilling narrative that explores the fragility of order when faced with extreme violence.
