OUTLAW EXPRESS

Cinemavixion Review

George Waggner's 'Outlaw Express' from 1938 offers a spirited dive into the classic Western genre. The narrative follows Bradley and Sharpe as they venture into the untamed West to unravel a sinister plot targeting pony express riders, a scheme designed to intercept crucial Spanish Land Grant papers. Bob Baker and Don Barclay deliver solid performances as the intrepid duo, embodying the grit and determination expected of Western heroes. Cecilia Callejo adds a touch of grace amidst the rugged landscape. While the film may not boast the grandeur of later epics, its straightforward storytelling and authentic period detail provide an engaging viewing experience. It's a commendable piece of early Hollywood Western filmmaking, worth seeking out for its direct narrative and classic genre appeal.
