Cinemavixion Review

"Outback Rabbis: The 'Lost Jews' of the Wilderness" offers a unique and often humorous lens into an unexpected corner of Australia. The documentary follows two ultra-Orthodox Chassidic Rabbis as they embark on an unconventional road trip through the Aussie bush, seeking out Jewish individuals in remote communities. Their journey, undertaken in a campervan affectionately dubbed the 'Tank,' is depicted with a blend of Jewish wit, music, and cultural exploration, contrasting sharply with the rugged outback landscape. The film promises surprising and emotional encounters, revealing the stories of those on a mission and Jews in unlikely places. It delves into the broader community of rural and regional Australia, venturing into the remotest corners to uncover the hidden world of the Australian Jewish community. This colorful documentary is both touching and amusing, providing insight into faith, identity, and the diverse tapestry of life in the Australian bush.
