OUT PAST DARK

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Out Past Dark,' Gregory and Matilda's weekend getaway, intended to mend their fractured relationship, instead plunges them into a chilling entanglement with the unsettling folklore of a remote town. Director Eddie Vigil V crafts a narrative where the couple's personal toxicity becomes a magnet for the town's mysterious undercurrents. As their own issues escalate, they find themselves in a desperate struggle not just for their relationship, but for their very escape from the encroaching darkness. The film adeptly blends relationship drama with elements of suspense, suggesting that sometimes, the greatest monsters are the ones we bring with us, and the most terrifying discoveries are made when we confront the shadows of both our pasts and the places we visit.
