OUT-OF-STATE RUNAWAY FOUND ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the unsettling case of Dawn Marie Birnbaum, an "out-of-state runaway" whose tragic murder on the side of a Pennsylvania road initially baffled authorities. The narrative highlights the remarkable dedication of the Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI, who, through sheer persistence and fortunate breaks, managed to identify both the victim and her killer, trucker James Robert Cruz Jr. The film underscores the chilling possibility that Cruz may have been responsible for numerous other unsolved murders, drawing a disturbing parallel to the hundreds of similar cases in Ohio. It's a stark reminder of the hidden dangers lurking on our highways and the relentless pursuit of justice against seemingly impossible odds.
