OUR FATHERS

Cinemavixion Review

Dan Curtis's "Our Fathers" offers a stark and unflinching portrayal of the sexual abuse scandal that rocked the Catholic Church. This dramatized account meticulously reconstructs the events, characters, and systemic failures that allowed such profound harm to occur. Ted Danson, Christopher Plummer, and Ellen Burstyn deliver powerful performances, anchoring the film with gravitas and emotional depth. While the film delves into dark and disturbing territory, it does so with a commitment to shedding light on a critical period of institutional reckoning. Nominated for Primetime Emmys, "Our Fathers" is a significant, albeit somber, piece of television cinema that demands attention for its courageous exploration of a deeply impactful societal issue.
