OUIJA ROOM

Cinemavixion Review

Henrique Couto's 'Ouija Room' plunges viewers into the unsettling isolation of an agoraphobic woman whose solitude becomes a breeding ground for terror. Erica Blackstock delivers a performance that captures the delicate balance between vulnerability and desperation as her character, confined by her phobia, seeks companionship through a ouija board. The film adeptly navigates the transition from a poignant exploration of loneliness to a chilling supernatural descent, as the spirits summoned reveal their malevolent intentions. Couto masterfully builds suspense, transforming the protagonist's home into a claustrophobic prison where the line between comfort and horror blurs. While the film's IMDB rating suggests a niche appeal, its thematic depth and atmospheric tension offer a compelling, albeit disturbing, cinematic experience for fans of psychological horror.
