ORPHANED VERVET MONKEY FINDS NEW FAMILY

Cinemavixion Review

This heartwarming short documentary offers a touching glimpse into the unexpected bonds formed in the animal kingdom. The narrative centers on Alfi, a 10-week-old Vervet Monkey, who, after being orphaned, finds solace and acceptance within a new troop. The visual journey of Alfi's integration into his surrogate family, culminating in a shared experience in the wilderness, is particularly compelling, highlighting the innate social needs of young primates. Complementing Alfi's story is the segment featuring Juan, a two-year-old dolphin, who playfully engages in training with his nanny, Miguel, alongside his mother and grandmother. While the film lacks specific details on production, the raw, observational style captures genuine moments of connection and learning, making for an endearing watch that celebrates the diverse ways families are formed and nurtured across species.
