OPERATION: SEALOAD

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the harrowing reality of 1980s New York, a period when the city teetered on the brink, overwhelmed by the pervasive influx of crack cocaine. The narrative powerfully illustrates the iron grip of Colombian cartels, whose operations fueled a devastating wave of street violence that threatened to engulf urban life. While the film delves into the grim socio-economic landscape and the systemic issues that allowed such a crisis to fester, it leaves the audience contemplating the resilience and the enduring spirit of a city under siege. The raw, unflinching portrayal serves as a stark reminder of a critical chapter in American urban history.
