OPERATION OVERLORD

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Operation Overlord,' director Brett Bentman crafts a tense World War II narrative centered on a desperate mission preceding the D-Day landings. The film plunges viewers into the immediate aftermath of a critical intelligence failure, as two American soldiers undertake a perilous infiltration of an enemy-held complex. Their objective: to extract a POW whose knowledge of the 'Operation Overlord' plans is vital. The plot, while straightforward, effectively builds suspense as the soldiers navigate the dangerous, claustrophobic environment. Thom Hallum, Billy Blair, and Stacey A Sheffield deliver solid performances, grounding the high-stakes action in believable desperation. Despite a modest runtime, the film manages to convey the immense pressure and uncertainty faced by those operating behind enemy lines, offering a gritty, focused perspective on the prelude to a monumental historical event.
