OPERATION OVERLORD

Cinemavixion Review

"Operation Overlord" plunges viewers into the tense days preceding the D-Day landings, offering a focused narrative on a perilous mission behind enemy lines. The film, directed by Brett Bentman, stars Thom Hallum, Billy Blair, and Stacey A Sheffield as US soldiers tasked with infiltrating a Nazi-occupied complex to rescue a prisoner of war. While the premise promises high-stakes action, the film's execution, as suggested by its critical reception and IMDb rating, leans towards a more intimate, perhaps less polished, war drama. The strength of "Operation Overlord" lies in its commitment to its core concept, exploring the courage and desperation that defined such operations during World War II. It serves as a gritty, character-driven piece that highlights the unseen efforts of soldiers beyond the main battlefield, providing a somber reflection on the cost of war.
