ONE HIT FROM HOME

Cinemavixion Review

Johnny Meier's 'One Hit From Home' is a poignant exploration of second chances, both on and off the baseball diamond. The film centers on an injured professional player, brought to life with earnestness by Brian Trush, who reluctantly returns to his roots. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he assumes the coaching duties for a struggling college team, finding a mirror of his own past in its sole promising player. The narrative skillfully weaves themes of redemption and resilience, highlighting how broken dreams can pave the way for new beginnings. While the runtime is brief, the emotional arc is substantial, offering a touching reminder that purpose can be found in the most unexpected circumstances. This is a story that resonates with the enduring spirit of sports and the human capacity for growth.
