ONE DOLLAR TOO MANY

Cinemavixion Review

Enzo G. Castellari's "One Dollar Too Many" presents a classic Spaghetti Western narrative, weaving a tale of unlikely alliances in the harsh landscape of the Old West. The film centers on a trio of disparate criminals—a suave gambler, a cocky sharpshooter, and a wily thespian—forced together by the promise of a significant bounty. Antonio Sabato, John Saxon, and Frank Wolff deliver compelling performances, embodying their characters' distinct personalities and the inherent tension within their forced camaraderie. While the plot may tread familiar ground, Castellari's direction injects a stylish energy, characteristic of the genre. The film offers a solid entry into the Western canon, exploring themes of greed, loyalty, and survival with a touch of dark humor. It's a worthwhile watch for fans of the genre seeking a well-executed adventure with memorable characters.
