Rene Perez's "Once Upon a Time in Deadwood" plunges viewers into a stark, unforgiving Western landscape, anchored by a stoic performance from Michael Paré as "The Colonel." The narrative, reminiscent of classic revenge Westerns, kicks into high gear when a desperate heiress, Ursula, forces the Colonel into a race against time. With a deadly poison as her leverage, she compels him to venture into the lawless town of Deadwood to save her kidnapped sister, who alone possesses the antidote.
