ONCE OVER

Cinemavixion Review

Leslie Goodwins' 1928 short, "Once Over," offers a charming glimpse into the world of silent comedy, featuring the comedic talents of "Snub" Pollard. The film follows two itinerant workers who find themselves in the peculiar town of Excema, taking up jobs as waiters. Their tenure is marked by a series of slapstick mishaps involving everything from clams and beer bottles to the inevitable pie. While the external data suggests a modest IMDb rating of 5.4, the film's enduring appeal lies in its simple premise and the physical comedy characteristic of the era. It's a delightful piece of cinematic history, showcasing the lighthearted entertainment that captivated audiences nearly a century ago.
