ON THE 3RD DAY

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel de la Vega's "On the 3rd Day" plunges viewers into a disorienting and increasingly grim narrative. Following a devastating car accident, Cecilia (Mariana Anghileri) finds herself alone and amnesiac, desperately searching for her missing son, Martín. As she navigates a desolate landscape, her quest becomes entangled with a series of brutal crimes, hinting at a dark conspiracy. The film masterfully builds suspense, blurring the lines between Cecilia's fractured memory and a terrifying reality. Anghileri delivers a compelling performance as a mother pushed to her limits, embodying both vulnerability and fierce determination. The Argentinian production, released in 2021, draws audiences into its unsettling atmosphere, culminating in a confrontation with a fanatical antagonist. While the film garnered a modest reception, its exploration of trauma, faith, and survival makes it a noteworthy entry in the psychological thriller genre.
