OLDER EVERY DAY

Cinemavixion Review

"Older Every Day" presents a poignant narrative of unexpected responsibility thrust upon a young man grappling with his own stalled aspirations. Val, reeling from academic expulsion and a fractured relationship, returns to the familiar confines of his hometown, seeking solace and perhaps a second chance at love and literary success. The film takes a sharp turn with the tragic death of his friend Sam, introducing Charlie, a young boy orphaned and vulnerable. Val's decision to take Charlie in, and the subsequent threat posed by an abusive relative, forces a profound maturation. The story explores themes of deferred dreams, the harsh realities of adulthood, and the redemptive power of selflessness. It's a compelling look at how life's most challenging moments can forge character and inspire growth, urging Val to confront his own shortcomings and step up when it matters most.
