OBSTACLES

Cinemavixion Review

"Obstacles" presents a gritty, urban narrative that delves into the age-old conflict between ambition and loyalty. Set against the backdrop of a city grappling with its own demons, the film pits two former friends against each other as their paths diverge dramatically. Daryll, driven by the need to provide for his family, finds himself drawn into the lucrative but perilous world of crime, encroaching on the territory of his old nemesis. This territorial dispute ignites a volatile war that engulfs the inner city, exploring themes of socio-economic pressures and the seductive allure of power and respect. While the film may not shy away from familiar tropes of the genre, its compelling premise and exploration of flawed characters offer a thought-provoking cinematic experience for fans of crime dramas.
