OBSTACLES

Cinemavixion Review

"Obstacles" plunges into the gritty realities of inner-city life, exploring the divergence of two childhood friends. Daryll's ambition to provide for his family clashes with the seductive allure of the streets, pitting him against an old rival in a territorial dispute. The film, directed by D-Shot, Hunter McCann, and Harry Mok, features a compelling performance from Brian Hooks, alongside notable turns from E-40 and D-Shot himself. Its raw portrayal of loyalty, desperation, and the consequences of choices resonates throughout its runtime. While perhaps not a mainstream blockbuster, "Obstacles" offers a grounded and intense look at the pressures that shape lives in urban environments, making it a noteworthy watch for those interested in character-driven crime dramas.
