NUMB

Cinemavixion Review

Jason R. Goode's "Numb" plunges viewers into a chilling tale of desperation and greed set against a stark, unforgiving winter landscape. The narrative follows a financially strained couple who, upon discovering coordinates to a hidden treasure, find themselves entangled with enigmatic hitchhikers. This premise sets the stage for a tense, character-driven thriller where the harsh environment becomes as much an antagonist as the human element. Jamie Bamber and Marie Avgeropoulos deliver compelling performances, navigating the escalating paranoia and mistrust that fractures their partnership. The film expertly balances suspense with a growing sense of dread, making the audience question the true motives of every character. While the plot offers a satisfying mystery, it's the exploration of human nature under duress that leaves a lasting impression, making "Numb" a noteworthy entry in the thriller genre.
