NOT MY LIFE

Cinemavixion Review

John Terlesky's 2006 thriller, "Not My Life," plunges viewers into a disorienting world where reality fractures. Meredith Monroe stars as Alison, a woman whose life of apparent normalcy is shattered by debilitating headaches and unsettling visions. As her grip on reality loosens, she enlists the help of a detective, only to uncover a truth far more complex and sinister than she could have imagined. The film masterfully builds suspense, blurring the lines between perception and truth, leaving the audience to question alongside Alison what is real and what is merely a constructed facade. While the narrative treads familiar psychological thriller territory, the performances, particularly Monroe's portrayal of escalating paranoia, anchor the film's unsettling atmosphere. "Not My Life" is a compelling watch for those who enjoy a mystery that delves into the darker corners of the human psyche and the unsettling possibility that our lives may not be entirely our own.
