NOISE IN THE MIDDLE

Cinemavixion Review

"Noise in the Middle" emerges as a poignant exploration of grief, paternal responsibility, and the spectral echoes of the past. The film masterfully intertwines the story of a father navigating the complexities of caring for his special-needs daughter in a new, unsettling environment with the insidious creep of supernatural occurrences. Director Marcus McCollum crafts a tense atmosphere, drawing viewers into the emotional turmoil of the protagonist as he confronts not only external shadows but also his own internal demons. The narrative delves into themes of psychic awakening and the metaphorical "noise" that resides within us all, offering a compelling blend of suspense and heartfelt drama. While the film may lean into horror tropes, its true strength lies in its empathetic portrayal of a father's love and his struggle to protect his child against overwhelming odds.
