Cinemavixion Review

This independent drama, helmed by director Mark Harris, delves into the complexities of romantic relationships over a brief, intense period. The narrative centers on Nina, a woman whose life has been defined by a long-term relationship, as she encounters a divorced man during a layover. The film explores the immediate, perhaps impulsive, connections that can form when past and present relationships are juxtaposed with a new potential. Through Nina's interactions with the man, his daughter, and his ex-wife, the story probes themes of commitment, desire, and the unexpected turns life can take. The performances, particularly from Loretta Devine, Monica Calhoun, and Sharon Leal, are key to grounding the emotional arc of the story, offering a nuanced portrayal of human connection and the choices we make.
