NO CHANCE

Cinemavixion Review

"No Chance" presents itself as a high-octane action-comedy, aiming for parody and nostalgia rooted in the aesthetics and tropes of 1980s cinema. Directed by Matt Poitras and featuring a cast including D Davidson Darren, Jason Chilton, and Kacey Samiee, the film plunges into a familiar revenge plot: a skilled operative must rescue his kidnapped daughter from a cadre of international criminals from his past. The description promises a "parody of everything you loved about the 80's," suggesting a self-aware, perhaps even satirical, take on the genre. While the external data indicates a mixed reception with an IMDb rating of 3.8/10, the film's commitment to its chosen style is likely to resonate with fans of retro action flicks. Its blend of action and comedy, coupled with its specific parodic intent, carves out a niche for viewers seeking a lighthearted, referential cinematic experience.
