NINJA BADASS

Cinemavixion Review

Ryan Harrison's "Ninja Badass" (2020) is a wild ride that defies easy categorization, blending martial arts action with a peculiar brand of comedy. The film plunges viewers into the shadowy world of the Ninja VIP Super Club, an organization whose sinister activities, including ritualistic female sacrifice, ripple across the American heartland. The narrative kicks into high gear when the club kidnaps a woman who catches the eye of Rex. Driven by a personal stake, Rex embarks on a mission to infiltrate the club, hone his ninja skills, and rescue his beloved. Boasting a runtime of 103 minutes, "Ninja Badass" has garnered significant critical attention, with 14 wins and 14 nominations, alongside a respectable 6.4 rating on IMDb and a 50% score on Rotten Tomatoes. While the film might lean into its unconventional premise, it offers a unique cinematic experience for those seeking something off the beaten path. The performances by Ryan Harrison, Darrell Francis, and Mitch Schlagel anchor the film's audacious vision, making "Ninja Badass" a memorable, if quirky, entry in the action-comedy genre.
