NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD LIVES ON

Cinemavixion Review

Decades after the infamous 1968 zombie outbreak, 'Night of the Living Dead Lives On' revisits the iconic farmhouse setting through the eyes of a group of podcasters. This 2022 film cleverly blends modern conspiracy theories with the enduring terror of the undead, offering a fresh, albeit derivative, take on George A. Romero's classic. The narrative explores the chilling idea that some horrors are never truly gone, as the past and present violently collide. Directors Kenny Scott Guffey and Jake C. Young aim to capture the spirit of the original while introducing new layers of dread, creating an atmospheric experience that questions the reality of lingering nightmares. The film's commitment to its homage is evident, making it a compelling watch for fans of the genre seeking a contemporary echo of a foundational horror story.
