NIGHT OF SOMETHING STRANGE

Cinemavixion Review

David Rodriguez's "Night of Something Strange" plunges viewers into a chaotic and darkly humorous take on the zombie apocalypse. Set against the backdrop of a ill-fated beach week, the film cleverly twists a familiar premise into a nightmarish scenario. When a group of teenage friends find their getaway disrupted by an isolated motel, they soon discover a deadly, flesh-rotting STD has turned the guests into the living dead. The narrative thrives on its inventive gore and a surprisingly effective blend of slapstick and genuine terror. While the low-budget charm is evident, the film’s commitment to its B-movie roots and relentless pacing makes for a unique and memorable horror experience. It’s a wild ride that doesn't shy away from the grotesque, offering a fresh, albeit gruesome, perspective on survival horror.
