NICOLE, HER EX & THE KILLER

Cinemavixion Review

Bob Akins' "Nicole, her Ex & the Killer" attempts a daring fusion of comedy and horror, centering on a woman's arduous journey to reclaim her life. The narrative plunges Nicole into a gauntlet of familial dysfunction, a lingering, unsettling ex-partner, and the looming threat of a serial killer. While the premise promises a tense and darkly humorous ride, the execution, according to available data, leans into its B-movie charm, as evidenced by its modest IMDb rating of 6.3. The film, released in 2022, stars Nicole Trobaugh, Braeden Baade, and Rollyn Stafford, with Akins himself co-writing the script. It's a low-budget endeavor that, despite its potential for scares and laughs, appears to offer a straightforward, albeit intriguing, thriller experience for those seeking genre-blending entertainment.
