NEON DAYS

Cinemavixion Review

"Neon Days" delves into the intricate landscape of mental health with a quiet, observational approach. The film centers on Jake, a young man grappling with the pervasive weight of depression, anxiety, and anger. His journey toward healing is depicted not through dramatic outbursts, but through the subtle, persistent efforts of his therapist, Sean. The narrative unfolds patiently over months, emphasizing the delicate process of building trust and encouraging vulnerability. While the local data provides the core emotional arc, the external data enriches this by attributing direction to Sheldon Maddux and performances to Glenn Morshower and Major Dodge, suggesting a grounded portrayal of this therapeutic relationship. The film's exploration of confronting inner turmoil and the potential for a changed outlook, as hinted by its synopsis, promises a thoughtful and resonant viewing experience, particularly for those interested in character-driven dramas that respect the complexities of healing.
