NARA

Cinemavixion Review

Navin Ramaswaran's 2008 independent film "Nara" delves into the profound depths of isolation and imagination, offering a compelling character study anchored by Dylan MacDonald's portrayal of Blane. As a vagabond navigating a world of solitude, Blane's existence is transformed by an enigmatic bond with Nara, a secret friend who exists solely within his psyche. The narrative expertly explores the blurry lines between reality and delusion, as Blane's inner world becomes his sanctuary and his prison. Nicole Maroon and Christine Chemello also lend significant support to the film's atmospheric tension. While the film garnered a respectable 7.8 rating on IMDb, it remains a hidden gem, rewarding patient viewers with a thought-provoking exploration of friendship, loneliness, and the power of the human mind.
