NACIYE: SINISTER OBSESSION

Cinemavixion Review

Lütfü Emre Çiçek's "Naciye: Sinister Obsession" plunges viewers into an immediate sense of dread on a couple's inaugural night in their isolated new residence. The premise, centered on the unsettling arrival of a mysterious woman asserting ownership of the property, promises a chilling exploration of domestic unease and psychological horror. The film's strength lies in its atmospheric tension, drawing audiences into the couple's escalating paranoia and the enigmatic presence of Naciye. With a compact narrative and a focus on suspense, Çiçek crafts a claustrophobic thriller that questions the very notion of sanctuary and the sinister undercurrents that can lurk beneath the surface of perceived safety. The performances effectively convey the mounting fear and desperation, making for a gripping, albeit unsettling, viewing experience.
