MYRA HINDLEY: BRITAIN'S MOST FAMOUS FEMALE SERIAL KILLER

Cinemavixion Review

This Absolute Crime documentary delves into the chilling case of Myra Hindley, a figure infamously branded 'the evilest woman in Britain.' Narrated by Martina Cole, the film meticulously reconstructs the horrific crimes committed alongside Ian Brady in the 1960s, detailing the murders of five children and the subsequent burial of their bodies on desolate moorland. Professionals dissect Hindley's psychology, endeavoring to understand the origins of her malevolent actions. The documentary also touches upon her persistent claims of reform within prison walls, juxtaposed with the reality of her lifelong incarceration, as she died in jail. A particularly salient point raised is how Hindley's gender may have amplified the perceived heinousness of her crimes in the public eye, adding another layer of disquiet to an already disturbing narrative.
