MY UNCLE JOHN IS A ZOMBIE!

Cinemavixion Review

Robert L. Lucas and John A. Russo's "My Uncle John Is a Zombie!" offers a refreshingly unique take on the undead genre, blending macabre humor with genuine stakes. The premise, revolving around a sentient zombie whose newfound fame attracts dangerous attention, is both intriguing and darkly comedic. Fans of films like "Shaun of the Dead" will appreciate the clever subversion of zombie tropes, as the film explores themes of exploitation and the media circus surrounding the unusual. While its reception may be niche, the inventive narrative and the potential for sharp social commentary make it a noteworthy entry for those seeking a different kind of zombie flick. The film, released in 2016, stars Landon Bowser, Greg Beluschak, and Elizabeth Bennette, and clocks in at a brisk 82 minutes, making it an accessible, albeit unconventional, watch.
