MY MATRILOCAL HUSBAND

Cinemavixion Review

This romantic comedy-drama, "My Matrilocal Husband," explores the intriguing premise of a producer, Qiao Wan, who possesses the unique ability to quantify her encounters with people. While this gift aids her professional life, it proves to be a source of anxiety in her romantic pursuits. The narrative centers on her entanglement with director Li Yue, whose persistent romantic overtures are met with Qiao Wan's growing unease as the count of their meetings dwindles. As Li Yue's own 'superpower' begins to manifest, the story poses the question of how Qiao Wan will navigate this serendipitous turn of events and the unfolding destiny between them. The film appears to delve into themes of fate, love, and the unexpected ways relationships can develop.
