MY LIFE AS A HOMELESS COMEDIAN: WALKING 1,700 MILES ACROSS AMERICA

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a raw and unflinching look at a comedian's extraordinary journey across America. The film chronicles a nine-month, 1,700-mile trek undertaken with the ambitious goal of filming a comedy special along the way. It delves into the profound physical and psychological challenges of such a solo endeavor, exploring themes of self-doubt, unexpected encounters, and the confronting of past traumas, including a sexual assault. The narrative navigates the stark contrast between the isolation of the road and the vulnerability of performing in sparse venues, presenting a candid portrayal of the pursuit of personal transformation through an epic adventure.
