MY DAY

Cinemavixion Review

This unflinching portrayal of urban hardship follows Ally, a young woman ensnared in the brutal realities of street life and drug trafficking. The narrative plunges viewers into a world where survival is a daily battle, underscored by a delivery gone awry that escalates Ally's perilous situation. Despite its grim subject matter, the film is anchored by a compelling performance from Hannah Laresa Smith, who navigates Ally's descent with raw vulnerability. Director Ibrahim Miiro crafts a tense, atmospheric drama that, while stark, offers a powerful glimpse into the struggles of marginalized youth. The film's gritty realism and exploration of desperation make it a thought-provoking, albeit challenging, watch that resonates long after the credits roll.
