MY DAD IS A PILOT

Cinemavixion Review

This poignant drama delves into the life of Lucy Ermakova, a waitress navigating the complexities of single motherhood within a flight garrison. Her son, Valka, harbors a fervent wish for a father figure, specifically a pilot, a dream that fuels much of the narrative's emotional core. Lucy finds herself caught between the persistent advances of Lieutenant Colonel Ivchenko and her affection for Major Lovtsov. The story escalates dramatically when Valka, seeking his idealized father, disappears from the airfield, triggering a frantic search that unites the entire garrison. The film masterfully explores themes of longing, identity, and the search for belonging, set against the backdrop of military life. It's a touching portrayal of a child's innocent desire and a mother's struggle.
