MURDER ON THE CAPE

Cinemavixion Review

Arthur Egeli's 2017 film, "Murder on the Cape," is a dramatic retelling of the infamous Christa Worthington case, offering a gritty look at a fateful affair on Cape Cod. The narrative follows a struggling fisherman who becomes entangled with a visiting fashion writer. Their relationship, initially a passionate escape, takes a dark turn when she returns years later with their child, only to be found murdered, casting suspicion on the fisherman. Starring Jade Harlow, Josh Walther, and Heather Egeli, the film navigates the complexities of love, betrayal, and the devastating consequences of secrets. While the external data notes a runtime of 95 minutes and a genre blend of Crime, Drama, and Mystery, the local data hints at a more focused drama. Despite a modest reception indicated by its IMDb rating, "Murder on the Cape" serves as a compelling, albeit somber, exploration of a true crime story that captivated and shocked.
