MUMMY DEAREST

Cinemavixion Review

White Cross's "Mummy Dearest" presents a chilling descent into psychological horror, anchored by a compelling premise. The film follows a mother, recently confined to a wheelchair, who moves into her daughter's home. What begins as a familial arrangement quickly unravels as unsettling suggestions of a haunted house and the increasingly erratic behavior of her daughter's boyfriend propel the protagonist into a harrowing journey of paranoia and potential madness. The narrative skillfully blurs the lines between supernatural phenomena and the protagonist's mental state, keeping the audience guessing. While specific critical reception and award information for this particular 2021 release is scarce, the core elements of suspense and domestic dread are effectively woven, offering a tense viewing experience for fans of psychological thrillers.
