MST3K 612: THE STARFIGHTERS

Cinemavixion Review

This installment of Mystery Science Theater 3000 presents "The Starfighters," a 1964 film that serves as the subject of Experiment 612. The episode's charm lies not only in the main feature but also in the delightful interlude featuring the United Servo Academy Men's Chorus. As with all MST3K offerings, the true stars are Joel, Tom Servo, and Crow T. Robot, whose running commentary elevates even the most rudimentary sci-fi fare into a comedic spectacle. The show's unique blend of earnest B-movie critique and absurdist humor is on full display, making "The Starfighters" a prime example of the series' enduring appeal. Viewers are treated to a masterclass in riffing, transforming potentially tedious viewing into a laugh-out-loud experience.
